English for P5-P6

These practical but fun classes make sure primary school students are up to speed and ready for secondary school. Class time features lots of speaking, and our unique writing program encourages creativity while developing solid grammar skills.

These classes are suitable for students at low intermediate level or above. Students are placed with others of similar ability. We do not offer beginner level classes.

Most of our students are from top EMI schools and most go into their first-choice secondary school.

Our main course objectives are to:

• prepare students for entry to and success in secondary school
• increase confidence in being in an English-only environment
• improve and expand vocabulary and grammar
• correct mistakes commonly picked up in regular schools

The teaching method is highly interactive and encourages students to actively participate. Lessons have a communicative focus, and the curriculum covers material for P5 through S2.

Classes are supplemented by homework activities such as reading, writing, and worksheets for vocabulary and grammar. Parents are expected to make sure their children do the extra homework.

Students may join at any time. Each lesson lasts for 45-50 minutes, depending on attendance. The last 5 minutes of each lesson are for wrapping up and exiting the classroom. Classes are held once a week. Lessons that fall on a public holiday will be rescheduled to the following week.
